A few readers have written in offering and asking for information on the Spamhaus Project outage.
We have very little confirmed information at this time.

The website is confirmed to be unreachable [1] and there is some chatter on twitter [2] [3] [4].  I've read there is an elusive email notification sent from Spamhaus.  We have yet to see it or read it.

Please comment with any information or impact you are experiencing from the outage today.

Kevin, www.spamhous.org is reachable on http but https returns a certificate error because it is a Cloudflare shared host.

Although the text for the link [1] you posted above says http, the actual link is https. You might want to correct that.
The typo is duly noted. However, either http or https will load properly when the site is available.

The url you pasted above is www.spamHOUS.org not www.spamHAUS.org. Cloudfare appears to be recovering from the DDOS. I have been able to load spamhaus.org with limited availability. It seems they may still be limping back to full service.

Thanks for the feedback, it is always welcome.

They seem to be back online and are indicating they were DDoS'd by Russian spam gangs (obv not an abnormal thing for them) http://www.spamhaus.org/news/article/693/softpedia-publish-misleading-story-of-anonymous-attack-on-spamhaus
